Jahmezz ThompsonIn 2005, at the age of 21, God radically saved me from a lifestyle that rivaled (minus the Pig Trough!) the likes of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15). I am married to the most amazing woman, Kim, and we have a wonderful teenage son, Isaiah. My heart burns with a passion for evangelizing and reaching the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Shortly after getting saved, I was introduced to evangelism through “Way of the Master”, and my heart has been ablaze for winning souls ever since. God has blessed our family with an amazing local church, Covenant Presbyterian Church, (PCA) where I also serve as an ordained deacon. We are in full alignment with REF’s desire to see staffed full-time evangelists in every church. By God’s grace, I am living my dream “job” for the first time since becoming a Christian! Some of the ways I am currently doing outreach is through open-air preaching and personal evangelism. Since October of 2018, I have also done volunteering with the disaster recovery as our town continues to rebuild from the devastating hurricane, Michael. In 2019 I graduated from REF’s own Samuel Davies School (Associate of Applied Science in Evangelism). I am currently working towards a Master of Arts (MA) in Public Theology. This particular degree program explores the interconnected branches of theological engagement in Apologetics, Missions, and Evangelism (which is right up my alley!🤓) Completing this degree program will also open up the door for ordination within our church's denomination, the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). |
