We, firstly, wish to thank you for your interest in REF. We would ask of you in the beginning of this explanation to talk up REF in your general conversations with your family and friends. Spread the word! REF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, faith-based mission whose purpose is to practice, train and equip God’s people to engage in evangelistic efforts and personal witness with anyone, anytime, anywhere. Although REF is not a church, we aid and assist the local churches in supplying with Team Members who are able to carry out events such as leading up or working alongside an evangelistic canvasing, whether that be door to door or arranged visits in the homes of potential members to the local church, or having some of our ordained Team Members fill pulpits for churches. These are just a couple of several examples of how REF has been involved in ministry since 1958.
We are always looking for two types of individuals who are the lifeblood of what the mission is about. First our Team Members, who are the evangelists and evangelistic workers. We want to be clear in this - REF is looking for Team Members who already have their financial support established with their donors. We are not able to pay any Candidate or any Team Member out of our General Fund; it is the full responsibility of Candidates and Team Members to raise their own financial support. The Candidate will be observed for a total of one year, (may be longer if necessary demarcators are absent or inconsistent. These Team Member Candidates will need to do the following once a month: report with a monthly email to our Global Developer, update the Office with any necessary contact information changes, and build a consistent level of support that shows the Financial Office you are established in your giving.
Second are the Donors. The donors of our Team Members and Candidates cannot be thanked enough. We constantly encourage all of our Team to keep in touch with and thank their donors on a regular basis. Without their prayer and financial contributions, it would make the ministry much more difficult and in certain cases, impossible. Throughout the years, we at REF have observed that in the majority of cases, where there is healthy giving, there is a healthy ministry. Donors and potential donors: THANK YOU.
One of the biggest questions we are asked is what is it like to join REF? We know that the evangelist and the missionary needs the freedom to serve the Lord in their respective callings that have been Board approved and are Office prayed for and monitored on a faith-based, consistent basis. Our goal is not to overburden any of our Team or Candidates with needs of update, but to give you an umbrella under which to serve the Lord in your ministry, which your donors may also receive tax-exemption for in their giving to you, once approved.
Feel free to reach out to the Office if you have any additional questions. You can reach us at (423) 573-5308
Whom shall I send, and who will go as a messenger to these people? Who will go for us?" I said, "Here I am. Send me. ~ Isaiah 6:8
Every1
Our chief desire at REF is to see a staffed full time evangelist in every church. Churches need evangelists.
First, outreach is the least focused branch of the church, and, according to Acts 1:8, should be our primary concern. The Every1 Movement seeks to reach out to men who dedicate their lives to full time evangelism, and through REF, reaching the lost and pointing them to the local church. Second, the local church has become unhealthily ingrown to the point where we are beginning to eat our own, even dismissing the basic doctrines of the Bible to accommodate the culture. The staffed evangelist will also act as one “crying in the wilderness” for the church to repent and return to “thus saith the Lord.” For more information, give us a call @ (423) 573-5308
