Curt Snead"Curt served as a police officer with the Columbia, South Carolina Police Department for 19 years before the Lord's compelling call to resign that position and pursue ministry training in 2012.
Curt is now seeking to bring the Gospel of Jesus to bear in the the lives of police officers, their families, and the communities they serve. Curt will center his ministry efforts around the chaplaincy program at the Columbia Police Department but desires to work with other chaplains and departments anywhere the Lord leads. The role of a police Chaplain is to provide spiritual help in an officer's time of need, to assist with connecting officers with mental health professionals, and to work closely with peer support efforts of the department. This role provides real opportunities for Christian help and Gospel love and truth to be brought to bear in the lives of those who work so hard to serve our community. Curt is endorsed by the Presbyterian and Reformed Commission on Chaplains, is also an approved Critical Incident Stress Management provider and instructor, and serves as a Chaplain with the State of South Carolina Law Enforcement Victim Advocate's Association." |
