James SmithBorn downtown Atlanta May 17 1962. Lived with my parents on Confederate Ave. My mom was from Crossville Tennessee and my dad was from Villa Rica Ga. Both of my parents were very hard workers and good parents as far as providing for there family. My mom would bring us to church every now and then. I remember a bus ministry coming to pick us up when we lived in Suwanee Ga. I can not remember anything in my past concerning God until at 39 years old my dad had a dramatic conversion to Christ. This is where I first saw the reality of who Jesus Christ was. My dad led a pretty rough lifestyle. But a 39 years old he was born again. I was really confused but at the same time the Holy Spirit put me under conviction. So running from God at 16 years old. Went into the USN at the age of 17 years old. Spent 1981-1985 on board the USS Truett as a Machinist Mate. We worked in the bowels of the ship and had a bad reputation of being the rowdiest guys on board ship. Saw many parts of the world even had a port of call in Haifa Israel. Got out of the USN and met my wife in 1987. We met and married after 4 months and God called us to himself and we were both converted to Christ a few months after we were married. Since then we have been involved in many ministry projects. Most of our time has been focused on youth and the less fortunate of our society.
