Shipman, ErnestPreaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Northern New England & beyond.
Born & raised in a Christian home in Atlanta, GA, Ernest moved to New Hampshire in 1985 to marry Wendy, his wife. They have 2 adult children. In the late 1990’s he came to embrace the reformed tradition after being exposed to Ligonier Ministries. He was ordained as a ruling elder in 2016. After running two businesses for 28+ years, Ernest semi-retired in 2019. After ordination he began preaching 4-6 times a year and was called to be licensed in the PCA in 2020 and fully retired from the business world in 2021. Since being licensed he has preached in churches throughout the Northern New England Presbytery and in any church needing the Gospel preached. Serving churches when pastors on vacation or on sabbatical or to churches in transition, Ernest is passionate about preaching the Gospel and seeing God’s people gathered, perfected and equipped to carry out the Great Commission. God is constraining him to see the Kingdom of God spread again in a land that was once ablaze with biblical preaching in the country. |
