Preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Northern New England. Born & raised in a Christian home in Atlanta, GA, Ernest was redeemed in January of 1973 at a Young Life style youth meeting at the age of 14. Ernest moved to New Hampshire in 1985 to marry Wendy, his wife. They have 2 adult children. In the late 1990’s he came to embrace the reformed tradition after being exposed to Ligonier Ministries. He was ordained as a ruling elder in 2016. After running two businesses for 28+ years, Ernest semi-retired in 2019. In 2020 Ernest started preaching on a regular basis doing pulpit supply. He was licensed by the PCA to preach in 2021 and fully retired from the business world to devote himself to full-time ministry. In addition to preaching, he is involved in mentoring men, doing one on one discipleship and leading mens bible studies. In August 2024, Ernest was called to accept the position of full time pastor at Walnut Grove Baptist Church in Rochester, NH where he had been doing pulpit supply. He was unanimously voted in as pastor in September 2024 and ordained and installed in October. He continues to do ministry with men and has added preaching to nursing homes in the Rochester area. Ernest is still working thru REF as the call will not support the needs salaried pastor. |
